Professional Learning Workshops & Events
We help teachers grow and learn together to promote equitable STEM learning.
Professional learning workshops and events put educators’ and leaders’ questions, concerns, and visions for student learning at the center. We aim to prepare all participants to be ready to use high-quality instructional materials and to design learning environments and assessment activities where all students can experience the joy of learning. We emphasize developing empathy for the student experience, building equitable classroom cultures that are rich in meaningful talk, and creating the capacity to adapt materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
We support teacher learning and transformation grounded in decades of research on how teachers navigate complex and constantly changing school and district environments.
We make time for teachers to articulate the support they will need to make effective use of high-quality instructional materials and innovative assessments.
We work as advocates for educators for changes to school and district policies that make it easier to make changes to practice that benefit students.
We know that growth is not just a matter of changing knowledge and beliefs, but of developing the capabilities to shift practice amidst competing demands.
