Science at its Peak

Students Don’t Just Learn Science, They LIVE SCIENCE!

Science at its Peak helps teachers and leaders understand the purpose, structure, and instructional shifts behind Colorado’s science standards, bringing standards-aligned curricula to life. You’ll leave our free workshops equipped to engage students in meaningful inquiry- and phenomenon-based science learning.

The result:

Classrooms where students ask questions, investigate real-world problems, engage in collaborative problem-solving, explain their thinking with evidence, and see science as an exciting discovery process.

(National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, 2012)

Instructional routines in standards aligned curricula support students to build and revise their ideas over time allowing them to take ownership of their learning.

(Alzen et al., 2023)
